How to Make Cinnamon Tea
Cinnamon tea is a delicious and warm cup of tea that can help refresh your palate and soothe your throat. Here’s how to make it:
Step 1: Boil Water
Bring a pot of water to a boil. For added flavor, some people like to add a cinnamon stick to the pot before it boils.
Step 2: Add Tea Leaves
Once you have boiling water, add your favorite tea leaves to the pot. Usually between a teaspoon to a tablespoon of tea leaves should be enough for a single cup.
Step 3: Add Cinnamon
Add between 1/4 teaspoon to 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon to the pot and let it steep for about 5 minutes.
Step 4: Strain Tea
Once finished, strain out the tea and any cinnamon that has settled in the bottom of the pot. You should be left with a delicious cinnamon-scented tea.
You can also customize your cinnamon tea by adding other spices to your pot. These may include:
- Cardamom: Add 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom to the pot before you add the tea leaves.
- Cloves: Add 2 cloves to the pot before you add the tea leaves.
- Ginger: Add 2 teaspoons of freshly grated ginger to the pot before you add the tea leaves.
- Lemon: Add a slice of fresh lemon to the pot before you add the tea leaves.
You can also customize your cinnamon tea with different types of sweeteners. Honey, agave nectar, stevia, and sugar can all be added to taste.
Enjoy your freshly made cup of cinnamon tea!
