Making sun tea is a simple yet delicious way to enjoy a cold beverage on a hot day. Here’s how you can make your own!
- 6 tea bags
- 1/2 gallon of cold water
- 1/2 cup of sugar (optional)
- Add the tea bags to a gallon-sized glass jar filled with cold water. Cover with the lid and leave to steep for several hours in direct sunlight.
- Once the tea has reached your desired strength, remove the tea bags and stir in the sugar if using.
- Pour the tea into tall glasses, then add ice cubes and your favorite flavorings (lemon, lime, mint, etc). Enjoy!
Note: For best results, use cold water and leave the tea to steep in direct sunlight for at least 4 hours.
