How to Make a Tea
Making a cup of tea is not just about boiling some water and adding milk, there is more skill involved if you want to get the best cup of tea you can. Follow these steps and you will have a cup of tea that tastes as good as it looks:
Ingredients
- Tea leaf
- Water
- Milk (optional)
- Sugar or honey (optional)
Step 1: Boil the Water
Boil the water in a kettle. It needs to reach a rolling boil to help get the most flavor out of your tea.
Step 2: Add the Tea
Take one spoon of tea per cup of water and put it in the teapot. You can use teabags instead of loose leaf tea, but you won’t get as much flavor that way.
Step 3: steep the Tea
Once the water has boiled, pour it over the tea in the teapot and let it steep for 3-5 minutes. If you like your tea stronger, let it steep longer.
Step 4: Add Milk/Sugar (optional)
If you want, add some milk and/or sugar to taste. A spoonful of honey is also a nice addition.
Step 5: Strain the Teapot
Once the tea has steeped for the desired amount of time, strain it into your cup. If you have used a teabag, take it out and discard it.
Step 6: Enjoy!
Your tea is ready to be enjoyed! Serve it with some biscuits or a piece of cake and relax.
Congratulations! You have just made the perfect cup of tea.
