How to Make Authentic Indian Masala Chai
Ingredients:
- 2-3 cups water
- 6-8 green cardamom pods
- 1 inch piece of cinnamon
- 2-3 cloves
- 3/4 teaspoon crushed black pepper
- 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
- 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)
- 2-3 teaspoons loose-leaf black tea
- 2-3 cups of milk
Instructions:

- Add the sugar to the pot and stir until it has dissolved.

- Now add the milk and let the mixture boil for another 5 minutes.
