How to Make Chamomile Tea
Chamomile tea is a wonderfully calming and delicious beverage that has been used for centuries. It’s also quite easy to make yourself using the chamomile plant.
Ingredients
- Fresh chamomile blossoms or ¾ teaspoon of dried chamomile
- 1 ½ cup of boiling water
- Optional – Honey, lemon, and mint for additional flavor
Instructions
- If using fresh chamomile: Pick 6-7 chamomile blossoms from the plant, rinse with water, and remove any unwanted stems.
- If using dried chamomile: Measure out ¾ teaspoon of dried chamomile.
- Put the chamomile into a large teacup or heat-resistant mug.
- If using fresh: Roll the blossoms between your hands to crush the petals slightly and bring out the flavor.
- Pour 1 ½ cup of boiling water over the chamomile.
- Let the tea steep for 8-10 minutes.
- Strain using a mesh sieve or colander.
- Optional – add honey, lemon, or mint for additional flavor.
