How to Make Iced Tea in a Pitcher
Iced tea is a refreshing summertime drink. When served in a pitcher, it makes a big batch for an easy-to-serve thirst quencher at a family gathering. Here’s how to make iced tea in a pitcher in three easy steps.
Ingredients:
- 5 large tea bags
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 6 cups boiling water
- 4 cups cold water
Instructions:
- Pour the boiling water into a 2-qt. glass pitcher.
- Add the tea bags and sugar. Allow to steep for 10 minutes.
- Remove the tea bags and add the cold water, stirring to dissolve any remaining sugar. Chill and serve over ice, if desired.
If you would like a stronger, more concentrated tea, use fewer cups of cold water. And if you’d like, add 1 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice for a lemon twist on the refreshing drink. Now you have a big pitcher of iced tea – perfect for a party!
