Making Proper English Tea
Ingredients
- Black Tea Leaves or Tea Bags
- Boiling Water
- Milk, Cream, or Lemon
- Sugar or Sweetener
Instructions
- Bring a teapot or pot of boiling water to the table.
- Put one to two teaspoons of tea leaves or one tea bag per cup into the teapot.
- Pour the boiling water over the leaves and steep for 3-5 minutes.
- Strain the leaves or remove the bag.
- Add milk, cream, or lemon, as desired. It is recommended that the milk be added first to guard against scalding.
- Add sugar or sweetener to taste.
- Enjoy your cup of proper English tea!
