How to Make Pu-erh Tea
Pu-erh tea is a type of tea that has been fermented and oxidized. This makes it full-bodied and earthy in flavor. Making Pu-erh tea is relatively easy and simple if you follow these steps:
Ingredients:
- Pu-erh tea leaves
- Boiling water
- Tea pot (or a glass)
- Tea strainer (Optional)
Steps:
- Put tea leaves into a pot: Take one teaspoon of tea leaves (2g) and put them in a teapot. For best results use loose leaf tea, not a tea bag.
- Infuse the tea: Boil the water to 95oC and pour it into the pot. Let it sit for 30-60 seconds for the flavor to infuse with the water.
- Serve: Pour the tea from the pot into small cups. If you’re using a strainer, use it to strain the tea before pouring it into the cups. Enjoy the tea!
Pu-erh tea is traditionally made with a Gongfu-style teapot and cups, but you can also make it in an ordinary teapot or glass. There are many different types of Pu-erh tea available, so find the one that works best for you. Making Pu-erh tea is a great way to relax and enjoy a cup of tea.
