How to make Tea
Making a cup of tea is an important part of many cultures and it’s an incredibly easy process. Here are the steps you should take when preparing a nice cup of tea.
What you need
- Teabag – there is a wide range of options here, including traditional loose teas with a strainer or plunger.
- Kettle – boiling water is essential to make the perfect cup of tea.
- Teacup – either choose a mug or a traditional teacup.
Steps
- Fill the kettle with fresh, cold water and switch it on to boil.
- Put the teabag into the teacup.
- Once the kettle has boiled, pour the hot water into the teacup. Pour slowly and steady over the teabag.
- Steep the tea. Depending on the type of tea you are using, this usually takes between 3 and 5 minutes.
- Remove the teabag from the teacup. You can use it for a second cup for example.
- Add sugar and/or milk according to your preference.
- Enjoy your cup of tea. You’ve earned it!
Variations
If you fancy something a bit different there are many ways to experiment with tea. You can try out different flavours by adding an abundance of ingredients to the teacup.
You can use cardamom, mint, pepper, rose petals, lemon or lime juice and honey, as well as many more. Be creative and experiment to find the flavour combinations you enjoy the most.
