Making Tea Bombs
Tea bombs are becoming increasingly popular, particularly as a way to provide a tasty twist to traditional tea. Making tea bombs at home is easy and straightforward, and takes very little time. Here’s what you’ll need:
- Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons loose leaf tea, such as matcha/green/black tea, herbal/fruit tea, or rooibos tea
- ½ teaspoon salts, such as sea salt, pink salt, black salt
- 4 teaspoons light brown sugar
- Food colorings, optional
- Equipment:
- Tea Bomb Mold
- Cold Water
Step 1: Mixing the Ingredients
Mix the desired tea leaves, salts and sugar together in a bowl.
Step 2: Add Food Coloring
Add food coloring of your choice, if desired, and stir the mixture well.
Step 3: Mold the Mixture
Place the mixture into a tea bomb mold, gently pressing it down.
Step 4: Water Infusion
Add cold or room temperature water to fill up the mold generously.
Step 5: Release the Bomb
Carefully remove the tea bomb from the mold by pushing it out from the bottom.
Enjoy Your Tea Bomb!
Your tea bomb is now ready to enjoy. One single tea bomb can be placed into a cup, teapot or mug, and poured with hot or cold water. Enjoy!
