How to Make Tea Eggs

Ingredients:

  • 5 Eggs
  • Tea Bag
  • 3 tablespoons of Soy Sauce
  • 1 Star Anise (optional)
  • 3 tablespoons of White or Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon of Salt
  • 2 cups of Water

Instructions:

  • Boil the eggs for 8 minutes.
  • Take the eggs out and rinse with cold water.
  • Add the remaining ingredients to the pot and bring it to a boil.
  • Once boiled, take the pot off the heat and add the eggs.
  • Let the eggs sit in the tea mixture for at least two hours, preferably overnight.
  • Enjoy your Tea Eggs!
