Ginger Tea

Ginger tea is one of the oldest and most popular beverages of all time. It is a great way to support your health and wellbeing. Here’s how to make a delicious, traditional ginger tea.

Step 1: Gather the Ingredients

You will need:

  • 1 piece of fresh ginger (1 – 2 inches depending on desired strength)
  • 2 – 3 cups of water
  • 1 – 2 teaspoons of honey to sweeten the tea

Step 2: Cut the Ginger

To make your ginger tea, start by cutting the fresh ginger into thin slices. Be sure to cut the ginger into thin pieces so that it can easily release its flavor into the tea.

Step 3: Boil the Water

Next, bring 2 to 3 cups of water to a boil in a small pot or pan.

Step 4: Add the Ginger

Once the water is boiling, add the ginger slices to the pot. Reduce the heat to low and allow the ginger to simmer in the water for 5 to 10 minutes.

Step 5: Strain and Serve

After the ginger has simmered for 5 to 10 minutes, strain the liquid into mugs. Add a teaspoon of honey to sweeten the tea and enjoy!

Note: If you don’t like strong ginger flavor, you can reduce the simmering time to 3 minutes or less.
