What is the ATI TEAS Test?
The ATI TEAS test, or Test of Essential Academic Skills, assesses a student’s readiness to enter the nursing program offered by ATI Nursing Education. This standardized, multiple-choice exam tests potential students on four main areas of knowledge, including reading, mathematics, science and English and language usage. The results of the TEAS test help a nursing school evaluate the academic preparedness of an applicant.
Why is the TEAS Test Important?
The TEAS test evaluates the academic strengths and weaknesses of an applicant, giving schools a more complete picture of their academic background before making admission decisions. The TEAS test also helps prepare incoming nursing students for the rigor and intensity of the nursing program.
