What to Do with Old Tea Leaves
Do you often find yourself with lots of old tea leaves and not sure what to do with them? Here are five creative ways to make something useful out of them.
Gardening
Tea leaves are great for adding to your compost or for directly adding to your garden. Just scatter the used tea leaves in the garden between the plants, or mix with compost to add to the soil. This is a great source of organic material and will help your garden to be healthy and well-nourished.
Bath Soak
Tea leaves are also great for making a relaxing and soothing bath soak. Simply add two to three teaspoons of used tea leaves to warm bath water. The leaves will help your skin to relax, nourish it, and soften it.
Facial Mask
Tea leaves are a great ingredient for making face masks. Simply mix used tea leaves with a little bit of warm water, and then apply to your face like a mask. This has the same effect as putting tea leaves in your bath – it helps to nourish and hydrate your skin.
Cleaning
Due to their slightly acidic nature, used tea leaves are great for cleaning. Soak them in warm water, then use the solution to wipe down surfaces. The tea leaves will help to effectively remove dirt and grime, leaving your surfaces sparkling clean.
Stains
Finally, you can use used tea leaves to help remove stains. Simply wet a cloth with a little warm water and rub it onto the Tea leaves. Then use the cloth to blot the stain – the tea leaves will help to break down the stain and make it easier to remove.
So next time you have some spare tea leaves, don’t throw them away – get creative and put them to use!
